PIMR Students visit Jimmy McGilligan Center

Jimmy McGilligan Center for Sustainable Development under PIMR MHRD Institute Innovation Council, primarily helps students to adapt to the innovation based long term life style and is a center for biodiversity-rich eco-friendly lifestyle.

Indore | A team of 50 students from Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore, led by Dr RK Sharma, Director-in-charge of the Institute, Dr Ranjana Patel, Dr Manisha Singhai, Prof Shan Malhotra and Prof Geeta Jain visited the Jimmy McGilligan Center for Sustainable Development under PIMR MHRD Institute Innovation Council, primarily to make institute students adapt to the innovation based long term life style. 

The center being run by Padmshri Dr Janak Palta, is a living example of a biodiversity-rich eco-friendly lifestyle.

During the inspection of the center, Janak briefed students about the importance of zero waste based life style. She said that at this center neither they produce waste nor do they use waste in this campus. Here we use products and services that create no waste and are sustainable for the earth, she told students.

At the center, students learnt to make dry and liquid colors for Holi festival which are pure, natural and safe for the body. The students were also informed about the process to make natural colors.
